SEATTLE propeller CLub - 2022 Port of the Year
Each year the International Propeller Club presents Three awards, INCLUDING an award for the Propeller club - Port of the year. This award recognizes an exemplary Propeller Club Port based upon factors such as its support of the maritime industry, mariners, student ports and community events.
In 2022, The Seattle Propeller CLub was recognized with this PRESTIGIOUS award. The award was presented at the 96th Annual International Propeller Club Convention, which took place September 20-22 in Athens, Greece. Seattle Propeller Club Vice President Heather Haugland accepted the award on the Club’s behalf.
“The Seattle Propeller Club was recognized for a variety of accomplishments, but particularly our resiliency and creativity throughout the pandemic to remain active, as well as our recent, strong growth in membership. We were also recognized for our community outreach and support of local nonprofits such as the Mission to Seafarers and the Sea Scouts,” Said Tosca Pinder, Club President at the time of the award.
CELEBRATE, WE WILL.
“The success of the Seattle Propeller Club would not be possible without the remarkable professionals that volunteer their time as Board Members,” Tosca Pinder said, in reflection of winning Port of the Year. “I want to recognize those who have served as Board Members over the last three years, as their dedication has contributed tremendously to the success of the organization and the achievement of this award. They include Susan Chesney, Sarah Scherer, Tosca Pinder, Doug Russel, Monte Crowley, Alex Hess, Molly Schlobohm, Mark Gleason, Heather Haugland, Todd Allen, Kathy Goodman, Bill Forslund, Stephanie Gullickson, and Maggie Moon.”
